Rigid Tie-in Spools
We are well experienced in Rigid Spool designs to industry codes such as PD 8010-2; ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.3, DNVGL-ST-F101 etc.
Our approach to Rigid Spool Design is to ensure that the integrity of all tie-in interfaces are maintained. We design spools considering the following main functional requirements, as a minimum:
-
Ensure continuity of the flow;
-
Resist all applicable loads (thermal, pressure, environmental, metrology and fabrication inaccuracies, misalignment loads, connection stroking, settlement of the adjacent structures, dropped objects and fishing gear impacts);
-
Provide sufficient flexibility to accommodate the displacements of the adjacent structures and misalignment tolerances;
-
Allow connection/disconnection;
-
Allow an easy lifting in air and under water;
-
Be retrievable.
